Your data

Privacy notice

Kakadoo uses the minimum information needed to remember your family preferences, save trips and answer enquiries.

Draft for beta launch · Updated 14 August 2026

What we collect

If you sign in, we store your email address, display name, family profile, travel preferences and saved trip IDs. If you contact us, we store your name, email and message. We also count clicks on partner links, recording the offer and page placement but not intentionally storing your name or family profile with the click.

Why we use it

We use account details to provide saved trips and personalised recommendations across devices. We use contact details to reply to enquiries. We use aggregated click counts to understand whether partner offers are useful and to account for affiliate activity.

Sharing and selling

We do not sell identifiable family data. A booking partner receives information only when you choose to visit its website, subject to that partner’s own privacy notice. The ChatGPT sign-in and hosting services used by Kakadoo process data to provide the account and website infrastructure.

How long we keep it

Beta account data is kept while the account is active. Contact messages are retained only as long as needed to answer and manage the enquiry. Aggregated click records are retained for commercial reporting. Formal retention periods will be confirmed before public launch.

Your choices

You can browse without saving to an account. You may ask for a copy, correction or deletion of personal information using the contact page. We will add the legal business identity and formal data-controller contact details before Kakadoo opens to the public.
